M1 Garand Match (6-8-24)
Match Information:
To All the potential shooters,
Members and non-members fire 40 rounds from their own personal M-1 or a Club provided M-1.
This means that you can participate in this event even if you do not own an M1 Garand
; additionally, you will purchase ammunition for the Club M1 Garand (do not bring your own ammo to shoot in Club rifles).
The course of fire consists of up to 43 rounds, 40 for score. This match is fired at 200 yards and there are four stages to the match:
10 Rounds slow fire from the prone position in ten minutes (single load).
10 Rounds rapid-fire from the prone position fired in 70 seconds (2 rounds, reload, then 8 rounds).
10 Rounds rapid-fire from the sitting position fired in 60 seconds (2 rounds, reload, then 8 rounds).
10 Rounds offhand/standing in ten minutes (single load).
Slings are allowed in all positions except offhand/standing and 3 non-scoring sighting shots are allowed from any position.
